Rose Crest Alpacas, LLC is located on a country acreage in Central Minnesota.
Our farm rests in a cozy setting with a tree lined stream running
through the middle of the property. We truly enjoy the peaceful setting.
We purchased our first alpacas in 2005.
We are very excited to have such fine alpacas on our farm including
multiple blue ribbon, champion and Judge's Choice alpacas. We
currently have 11 alpacas of our own on the farm. Our crias this year
were
sired by remarkable Herdsires: Bisturi, JSFI Dakota and HPCA Sedona Red - all champion
level males! Our 2009 crop promises to be exciting too with crias
expected from KV Valiant and Black Ice ... also champion males.
Huacaya
CHAMPION HPCA NUTMEG, our med. brown female, is from the Royal Fawn
line and has won multiple blue and color-champion ribbons.
AVALON'S BLACK PEARL, is the daughter of 2002 AOBA National First Place
winner HVA Black Velvet Silhouette.
Pearl is a wonderful mother. Her crias have had an IGG level of over
2600! Pearl has been bred to
Champion KV Valiant (bay black) for a June 2010 cria.
"PRINCESS": We've been
anxiously awaiting a true black daughter from Pearl. In June of
2009, she arrived. Welcome to our beautiful little Princess.
RIVENDELL'S NEMARA is a sweet black huacaya girl that we
recently acquired from Rivendell Alpacas in Illinois. She is true
black and has been bred to the wonderful JSFI Dakota for a Fall 2008
cria.
ANDANTE
OF ROSE CREST is
Pearl's 2008 cria. He is a beautiful maroon bay black with black
points. He is the son of National Gray Champion Bisturi on one
side and a National Champion TB Grandsire on the other!
NOBLE
ROMEO is turning
out to be a great huacaya male. The son of Fandango, Romeo is a
dark brown, crimpy, soft, thick male with nice coverage. Romeo has
already won 6 AOBA ribbons and will be returning to the show ring this
year with an even better fiber now that he cria coat has been sheared.
Romeo is a visitor favorite who loves to give everyone "kisses".
(SOLD to Jared and Megan Lanhoff. Congratulations! Romeo is
still boarding at our farm and available for breedings.)
PRINCE
RAPHAEL OF ROSE CREST
is Nutmeg's cria from 2007.
He is a knockout bay black boy. Terrific presence, amazing
fiber... We can hardly wait to take him to the show ring this
year. 3 AOBA ribbons so far and more to come...
(Prince Raphael is co-owned by Brian
Oleson and Jennifer Jokela of Jen & Ole's Alpacas and Organics)
SIR
KNIGHTLEY OF ROSE CREST
is Pearl's 2007 true black
cria. Knightley is so soft! He has wonderful coverage and a
funny disposition. Knightley is also headed for the show ring this
year with his friend Raphael. 2 AOBA ribbons so far...
"SPARKY" is
Nemara's 2008 cria. While his birth fleece looked like a smoky
brown, he is growing in as a dark gray or black! Sparky is the son
of 8-time Get-of-Sire Champion JSFI Dakota. He will receive his
official name once we decide what color he is.
suri
WGAF NUTMEG "MAGGIE" is our first Suri girl. What a
beauty she is. We are thrilled to have her join our herd and thank
Waldron Farms for parting with her... Two 1sts and a 2nd place in
her showing career. She is a lovely Medium Brown and is bred to
Sedona Red for a Fall of 2008 cria.
SEDONA'S
BRILLIANCE "BREE" (name pending): a stunning little beige Suri
girl... loaded with coverage and luster. Nearly 18 pounds at
birth and up and nursing within an hour. Bree's IGG (antibody
level) from Maggie was 1744... great for a first time mom.
Our Champion SURI HERDSIRE, HPCA SEDONA RED, has won
multiple top ribbons in AOBA shows. In his 4 fleece shows
he has received 8 Suri ribbons!... Judges Choice, Best Luster, Best
Lock Formation, Three - 1st Places, Best Novice Exhibitor and a 2nd at
Nationals! He has wonderful ropey locks and nice luster to go
with his great confirmation. He is 1/4 Accoyo and 1/2 Peruvian. He is
the grandson of two legendary herdsires, Fruzane Noir and Bruxo.
Sedona's first crias have arrived... a light fawn male to
Cairparavel Alpacas, our "Bree", a beige female and
another little girl born to TamaRon Alpacas named "Alexis"...
Sedona's crias are lustrous and well covered. Bree weighed
nearly 18 pounds.
